1. The post is private or deleted
Only public posts can be resolved. If the account is private or the video was removed, no downloader can fetch it. Open the post in TikTok and confirm it still plays for a logged-out viewer.
2. The video is region-locked
Some posts are restricted to certain countries. The resolver may sit outside the allowed region, so it gets nothing even though the video plays for you. There is no fix on the client side; a resolver in the allowed region is required.
3. TikTok is rate-limiting the request
Bulk downloads and rapid retries can trigger a temporary block. Wait about a minute, then retry. If you are processing a batch, reduce the batch size.
4. It is a photo post

5. The link came from the app share sheet in a short form
Short share links can expire or redirect through the app. Open the post in a browser and copy the full tiktok.com URL, then paste that.

7. Your connection blocked the request
