How to Download a TikTok Video on Android
Android browsers save the file directly to storage, so the process is shorter than on iPhone. The only variation is where your phone files the MP4 afterwards.
Copy the TikTok link
- 1Open the post in TikTok.
- 2Tap Share, then Copy link.
- 3Long-press the link in the address bar if you are using the mobile site.
Paste and download
Open downloadtray.com in Chrome, Samsung Internet or Firefox. Paste the link, press Download, then pick the video format.
The file downloads through the browser, so you can watch the progress in the notification shade or the browser downloads list.
Find the file
Most Android phones put it in Downloads. Gallery apps such as Google Photos index that folder automatically, but sometimes only after a refresh.
If the video does not appear in Gallery, open Files → Downloads and share it to Photos or your gallery app. It is a normal MP4.
Photo posts and audio
TikTok photo posts list each image separately. Save the ones you need, or use the audio option when the post exposes a separate track.
For WhatsApp status or Reels, keep in mind that those apps re-compress whatever you upload, so the saved file will look better than the repost.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the file not in my Gallery?
Android scoped storage keeps browser downloads in Downloads until the gallery indexes them. Open the folder once or share the file to Photos.
Can I download private TikTok videos?
No. Only public posts can be resolved. Private, deleted and login-only posts are refused with an explanation.
Does it work in the TikTok in-app browser?
It can, but in-app browsers sometimes block downloads. Use Chrome or Samsung Internet for a reliable save.
