How to Save a TikTok Sound as Audio

Some TikTok posts expose their audio track separately from the video. When they do, DownloadTray lists it as an audio option you can save on its own.

Copy the post link

  1. 1Open the video in TikTok.
  2. 2Tap Share, then Copy link.
  3. 3Paste it into DownloadTray and press Download.

Pick the audio option

If the post exposes a separate track, an audio option appears next to the video. Choose it and save the file.

When no audio option appears, the sound only exists inside the video file; the app does not fabricate a separate track.

Format and reuse

The audio is saved in the format the platform serves. It plays in most players and imports into editors.

Using someone else’s sound in your own video may need the creator’s permission, even when the platform allows the download.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there no audio option?

TikTok did not expose a separate track for that post. The sound is only inside the video file.

Is the audio an MP3?

Not always. DownloadTray saves the container the platform serves and does not re-encode it.

Can I reuse the sound anywhere?

Check the creator’s terms and the platform rules. A download is not a licence.
