How to Save Instagram Photos and Carousels
A carousel is several images in one post. DownloadTray lists each one separately, so you can keep the frames you need instead of a screenshot of the whole post.
Copy the post link
- 1Open the post in Instagram.
- 2Tap the three dots, then Copy link.
- 3Or copy the address bar URL on instagram.com.
Pick the images
Paste the link into DownloadTray and press Download. A carousel shows one JPG option per image; a single photo shows one.
Tap the option you want and save it. Repeat for the other frames.
Quality and limits
The files are the images Instagram serves at the resolution it exposes. DownloadTray does not upscale them.
Private accounts and login-only posts are not supported.

Each image is a separate option. Save them one by one; the batch queue handles multiple posts, not multiple frames in one post.
Why are the photos smaller than on my phone?
Instagram serves a compressed image. DownloadTray saves that file without re-encoding.
Do private posts work?
No. Only public posts can be resolved.
